Hong Kong Productivity Council organized the Hong Kong Solid State Lighting Industry Consortium (HKSSLIC) Kickoff Seminar in March 2010:

Hong Kong Solid State Lighting Industry Consortium (HKSSLIC) was inaugurated back in 2007 with the endorsement of the Environment Bureau. Though we passed a period of relative inactivity we are revitalizing our mission to promote the interest of local Solid State Lighting, starting with LED, industry through a set of subcommittees addressing the very diverse needs of the industry, ranging from Support & Coordination, Solution & Application, IP & Commercialization, Standards, Testing & Certification, and Technology Support. It will consist of members from University & Research Institute, Industry Support, Local Government Department, Industry, and Test Lab.
